My name is Josh Pather. I live in Rockwall, and I'm the person behind this directory.

I want to start there, because too many websites hide who's actually running them. This one doesn't. There's a real person here — a Rockwall resident, a local business owner, a neighbor — and that's me.

How I ended up in Rockwall

I came to Texas from South Africa when I was a kid. My dad walked away from a good job back home so our family could start over here, and I've never forgotten that kind of sacrifice. The Dallas area became home. Rockwall is where I planted roots, where I run my companies, and where my family lives today.

I've spent more than a decade building businesses from nothing. In 2012, a friend and I drove to Home Depot, spent around $500 on wood and parts, and built a photo booth in a garage. That turned into Photo Booth International — a company that went on to rank #63 in Texas on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies, and has helped more than 5,000 entrepreneurs across 19 countries start businesses of their own.

Since then I've generated over 432,000 leads for businesses, won the ClickFunnels Two Comma Club award twice, and built a marketing practice that helps small companies get found and grow.

I'm not telling you that to brag. I'm telling you so you know the person behind this site understands, firsthand, how hard it is to get a small business noticed.

Why I built Rockwall Connect

Here's the thing that bugged me. I'd drive around town and pass great businesses I'd somehow never heard of. A solid little restaurant tucked into a strip center. A plumber who'd been quietly serving Rockwall families for twenty years. A shop that deserved twice the foot traffic it was getting. And when I'd go to look them up online, half of them were buried, hard to find, or barely showed up at all.

That's a problem. Because I know what it's like to be the small operator nobody can find yet. Getting found is everything. It doesn't matter how good you are if people can't find you in the first place.

So I built Rockwall Connect — a local business directory made specifically for Rockwall, Texas, by someone who actually lives here. The mission is simple: make it easy for residents to find trustworthy local businesses, and give those businesses a real shot at being discovered.

This isn't an automated site cranking out listings nobody checks. It's a directory of real local businesses across Rockwall — restaurants and food, home services, health and wellness, retail and shopping, automotive, and professional services.

How We Vet Listings

Every submission is manually reviewed within 24–48 hours. We confirm the business serves the Rockwall, TX area. Contact details (phone, email, website) are verified. Spam, duplicate, and inactive listings are removed on an ongoing basis. Reviews submitted by visitors are email-verified before publication.
