Beer Me! Is Turning One — And Downtown Fate Is About to Have the Best Weekend of the Year

They are not doing a quiet "hey thanks for coming" anniversary.

May 29 & 30 in Downtown Fate. Two nights of live music, 7 breweries & wineries, food vendors, raffles, and zero cover.

There is something happening in Downtown Fate that a lot of people in Rockwall still do not know about.

And honestly? That is about to change.

Beer Me! Taproom — the craft beer and wine bar at 131 Fate Main Place — is turning one year old. They are not just saying thanks. They are having a big two-night block party on May 29–30 and the lineup is really good.

There will be two nights of live music. Seven breweries and wineries will be there. There are food vendors and hourly raffles. There is a beer-pouring contest and a blind taste test. You can even get free root beer all weekend.

Yeah. It is going to be a fun party.

What is happening

Here is what you need to know:

Friday, May 29 — Rockwall Entertainment plays on stage. If you have seen them, you know they are good. If not, tonight is the night.

Saturday, May 30 — Whiskey Deville, a seven-piece band, plays at the end of the weekend. DJ Willie Boom will play music between the band sets.

And look at the breweries and wineries coming. It is not just some guys with a keg. It is these ones:

• Rahr & Sons Brewing (Fort Worth)
• Oak Highlands Brewery (Dallas)
• Firewide Brewing Co. (Fort Worth)

That is a lot of great Texas drinks all in one spot, right here in our backyard.

The fun stuff

The music and drinks are great. But they have more stuff planned:

• Every hour: Raffle drawings — all weekend long.
• Perfect Pour Competition — Peticola's Pour Challenge, where you try to pour the perfect pint. You will see people mess it up and it will be funny.
• Blind Flight Taste Test — guess the beer. You get bragging rights if you win.
• Food vendors on site including It's Fate Creamery, The Bagel Lady, Papi's Kitchen, and Popcorn Papa. Plus True Light Barbershop and Rockwall Volkswagen are there too.
• Lawn games: trivia, hula hoop, Jenga, cornhole.
