Cards on the Harbor: Rockwall's Pokemon Card Shop, Trade Night and Card Shows

If your kid loves Pokemon, or you still have a shoebox of old cards in the closet, you should know about Cards on the Harbor. It is a card shop right here in Rockwall. From what I can see, it is a real hub for local collectors, not just a store.

What they sell

Cards on the Harbor sells Pokemon singles and sealed product. The store is at 811 E Yellow Jacket Ln #117 in Rockwall. They say they are open 7 days a week.

They also have an online shop at shop.cardsontheharbor.com. It lists more than 1,100 products. You can pick up in the store or have it shipped. They say every card is checked to make sure it is real.

Some cards cost less than a dollar. Others are big chase cards. When I looked, the top picks on their site ran from about $1,000 to about $2,300, like an Umbreon VMAX from Evolving Skies listed at $2,265. Prices and stock change, so check the site for what is there today.

Trade night this Thursday

Cards on the Harbor posted on Instagram about a trade night on Thursday, Oct 15. I couldn't find the time or place written down anywhere else, so check their Instagram before you go.

Upcoming card shows

They also run big card shows. These are for Pokemon, sports cards, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh! and more. Tickets and vendor tables are sold on OnTreasure, and the links are on their website.

• Sun, Oct 25: Cards on the Court at AmeriSports Rockwall. 300+ tables.
• Sun, Nov 1: Cards on the Harbor at the Hilton Rockwall on the Harbor.
• Nov 28 and 29: A two-day show at AmeriSports Rockwall over Thanksgiving weekend.
• Sun, Dec 13: A holiday show at the Hilton Rockwall on the Harbor. 210+ tables.

If you have never been to a card show, it is a fun way to spend a few hours. Bring your binder. You can buy, sell, or just trade with other folks from around here. You may want to check our local event finder for other things going on that weekend too.

Shops like this give kids and grown-ups a place to meet people with the same hobby. Trade nights and shows bring folks together in person. That's a big part of what makes Rockwall feel like home.
