HG Sply Co. Rockwall: Rooftop Restaurant Coming to Sunset Ridge

HG Sply Co. is building a rooftop restaurant on Sunset Ridge in Rockwall, with views of Lake Ray Hubbard. Here's what we know so far.

Where it is going

The address is 2651 Sunset Ridge Dr., Rockwall, TX 75032. That is off I-30 on the lake side of town. The HG Sply Co. Rockwall page lists the same spot (2651 Sunset Ridge) and still says Coming Soon as of October 20, 2026.

HG Sply Co. is run by UNCO, a Dallas hospitality group. Their February 2025 announcement said UNCO has owned this land since 2016. They waited to build so the rooftop would keep a clear view of Lake Ray Hubbard.

How big it is

From the February 2025 announcement:

• About 6,800 square feet on the first floor
• A rooftop of about 6,300 square feet
• Seating for 400+ guests
• Rooftop views of Lake Ray Hubbard and the Dallas skyline

What the state filing says

There is a public state building filing for this site with TDLR, the Texas office that tracks building plans. Project TABS2026000363, "HG Supply Rockwall," lists:

• Scope: new shell building for restaurant use with a roof deck
• About 12,635 square feet
• Estimated cost: $2,000,000
• Owner on the filing: Eighttwenty Real Estate
• Registered: September 5, 2025
• Scheduled start: November 1, 2025
• Scheduled completion: November 1, 2026

Those dates come from the filing. They aren't an opening day. A building can finish and still need weeks before a restaurant opens.

When will it open?

In its February 2025 announcement, the company said Q4 2026 (October through December). Its Rockwall page doesn't list a firm date yet. I will wait untill HG Sply Co. posts a date on its own page.

What kind of food

HG Sply Co. already has spots around Dallas-Fort Worth. Its current menu has things like a bison burger and plant-based options. The final Rockwall menu has not been posted yet, so those dishes may or may not make it here.

A crowdfunding twist

This one is a little different. In early 2025, HG Sply Co. opened a crowdfunding campaign on StartEngine. I don't know if it's still open. It lets regular people invest in the restaurant and the land under it. If that interests you, read the offering yourself and talk to someone you trust about money before you put any in.

What we do not know yet

• No confirmed opening date
• No final Rockwall menu or hours
• No posted hiring details I could confirm
